WB: 4/11/24 Maths

 This week in Maths, Year 4 have been subtracting AND exchanging using their column subtraction. It was pretty tricky at first but once the children understood that exchanging 1 10/100/1000 meant that they then had 10 more of a smaller column, it became a lot easier.

RE Day - Remembering (Janmashtami)

 Today’s RE Day has focussed on the concept of remembering. We talked about what we remember and why, and how we show our remembering through celebrations and events. We talked about Christians and how Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. We then compared this to the Hindu festival of Jamashtami, which celebrates the birth of Krishna. We had some fascinating discussions and considered how the concept applies to many areas of our own lives.
