Today we watched the final rehearsal for Isle Dance! We were so impressed with the performance and loved supporting our classmates who are taking part. Good luck!
This week in English, the children have been hard at work editing their Fenrir descriptive paragraphs and even using the laptops to publish their work. They had to brush up on their typing skills, but after a few reminders on how to use the space button they were away! We then put there descriptions into an AI image generator to create amazing pictures to go with their writing. Take a look at it in action.
Today, Year have 4 have been looking at community and the importance of the role of neighbour within the community. We spent some time looking at the parable of the good samaritan and then had a go at creating our own modern-day version in groups. Finally, we made story cubes of the parable with the hidden message inside. Take a look!
Today’s RE Day has focussed on the concept of remembering. We talked about what we remember and why, and how we show our remembering through celebrations and events. We talked about Christians and how Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. We then compared this to the Hindu festival of Jamashtami, which celebrates the birth of Krishna. We had some fascinating discussions and considered how the concept applies to many areas of our own lives.
