Easter Raffle

 The children worked so hard on their persuasive letters to get eggs for the Easter Raffle, and we just wanted to say a massive thank you for all of your contributions and for sharing their letters with others. Altogether we collected over 150 Easter eggs which we are now going to raffle off in order to raise funds for our school library! 

The raffle tickets will be on sale Monday after school, before and after school on Tuesday and on Wednesday morning. Tickets are £1 each and the raffle will take place on Wednesday 2nd April.

16/10/24 RE Day- Community

 Today, Year have 4 have been looking at community and the importance of the role of neighbour within the community. We spent some time looking at the parable of the good samaritan and then had a go at creating our own modern-day version in groups.  Finally, we made story cubes of the parable with the hidden message inside. RE Day - Remembering (Janmashtami)

 Today’s RE Day has focussed on the concept of remembering. We talked about what we remember and why, and how we show our remembering through celebrations and events. We talked about Christians and how Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. We then compared this to the Hindu festival of Jamashtami, which celebrates the birth of Krishna. We had some fascinating discussions and considered how the concept applies to many areas of our own lives.
