French: Vive Le sport

 Year 4 started a new topic all about sport. They learnt the names of a few sports, giving their option of whether they liked or dislike playing or doing that sport. They practised new sentence structures with words and actions.

RE Day - Remembering (Janmashtami)

 Today’s RE Day has focussed on the concept of remembering. We talked about what we remember and why, and how we show our remembering through celebrations and events. We talked about Christians and how Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. We then compared this to the Hindu festival of Jamashtami, which celebrates the birth of Krishna. We had some fascinating discussions and considered how the concept applies to many areas of our own lives.
